Junior Board
The PathForward Junior Board is a dynamic group of emerging leaders dedicated to ending homelessness in Arlington. Members bring diverse skills and backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to PathForward’s mission. Junior Board members could make a tangible impact through hands-on service, network with established leaders, and gain valuable experience that prepares them for future nonprofit board service.
What does the Junior Board do?
The Junior Board meets monthly (except in December & August) for strategic planning, volunteer events, professional development, and networking opportunities with PathForward’s Board of Directors and Advisory Council. In addition to advancing PathForward’s goals, members grow as community leaders and advocates. Junior Board members serve one year terms following PathForward’s fiscal year, with new terms beginning each July.
What are the expectations during the 1-year term?
- Represent PathForward, by advocating for our mission and promoting volunteerism within your network.
- Engage in service by volunteering at a minimum of one PathForward event annually.
- Participate actively by attending at least six-monthly meetings and staying informed about PathForward’s initiatives.
- Support fundraising efforts by contributing to event planning, sponsorships, donations, and encouraging attendance.
- Make a meaningful contribution with an annual minimum “give or get” of $100 or engage your network to support PathForward financially.
