David Metnick

David Metnick is a Managing Director in Accenture’s Health and Public Service Practice, where he leads the firm’s portfolio across Virginia and the broader DMV region. With more than 25 years of experience, he helps state and local agencies, universities, nonprofits, and private sector organizations modernize services, strengthen outcomes, and scale innovation.  He also serves as Accenture’s Global Education Practice Lead, shaping strategy and solutions for education clients worldwide, and is a member of Accenture’s Global Leadership Council.
 
Deeply committed to civic and community engagement, David was named to Virginia Business’s 2025 Virginia 500 and serves on the boards of Lead Virginia, the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, ArtsFairfax, and rvatech, along with the Greater Richmond Partnership and innovation advisory councils at George Mason University and The George Washington University.  In 2025 he represented Accenture in the Chamber’s work on the NOVA Roadmap, a regional economic plan that includes expanding housing affordability, and in 2026 he represented Accenture at the signing of Virginia’s landmark paid family and medical leave law, the first such statewide program in the South, in support of working families.
 
David earned a business degree from The George Washington University and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, and lives in Arlington with his wife and daughter.  He joins the PathForward board out of a conviction that homelessness is solvable, and a desire to help make it rare, brief, and non-recurring.
