Donate Food

Greatest need items are:

  • Bagged Meal Program items
  • Proteins (meats, eggs, dairy, plant-based, etc.)
  • Healthy snack items (energy or protein bars, fruit snacks, crackers, etc.)
  • Water bottles
  • Electrolyte drinks
  • Ensure nutrition shakes
  • Frozen ready-to-eat meals
  • Frozen breakfast items

To donate food items, please review, adhere to and provide a signed copy of our Food Donation Release Form before dropping off your generous donations.

Donate Clothing

We accept new and gently-used clothing for men and women only. Greatest need items are:

  • White t-shirts (must be new and packaged)
  • Socks (must be new and packaged)
  • Underwear (must be new and packaged)
  • Men’s sizes 9-12 and women’s sizes 7-10 flip flops
  • Fleece hoodies (larger sizes)
  • Fleece joggers and sweatpants (larger sizes)
  • Disposable rain ponchos

Donate Gift Cards

  • Grocery stores (Target, Giant, Safeway, etc.)
  • Convenience stores (7-11, CVS, Walgreens, etc.)
  • Fast casual restaurants (Subway, McD’s, Starbucks, Dunkin, etc.)
  • Visa gift cards
  • Amazon gift cards

We appreciate gift cards of all denominations but have an ongoing need for gift cards between $5-$25.

Donate Housewares

  • Twin-sized blankets and sheets (must be new and packaged)
  • Pillows (must be new and packaged)
  • Household cleaning supplies
  • Sleeping bags
  • Large, sturdy tote bags (example – Ikea totes)
  • Kitchen basics – pots, pans, dishes, cups, silverware

PathForward does not have the capacity to accept donated furniture on a regular basis, however we are occasionally able to accept dependent on our client needs at the time. Please make an appointment to discuss before trying to drop furniture off.

DROP-OFF DIRECTIONS

We accept drop-offs anytime 8am to 5pm seven days a week.

Donations can be brought to our loading dock, which is located directly behind our building. If you navigate to 2020A 14th St N, Arlington VA 22201, this will take you to the front of our building. Turn the corner onto Troy St. N and pull into our loading dock. Once you arrive, either ring the intercom doorbell at our Homeless Services Center doors or call 703-228-7802. They will open the door for you, and provide a donation receipt if you would like.
