Betsy Frantz

President & CEO

Betsy Frantz is President and Chief Executive Officer of PathForward, where she leads the organization’s strategic vision to prevent and end homelessness through integrated housing, healthcare, and supportive services. Since joining PathForward in 2020, she has strengthened the organization’s role as a regional leader, advancing innovative partnerships and sustainable solutions that improve outcomes for individuals experiencing homelessness.

With more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, Betsy has built a distinguished career leading organizational growth, fundraising, governance, and community impact. Prior to PathForward, she served as President of the Virginia Hospital Center Foundation, where she led a $26 million capital campaign. For 20 years, she served as the founding President and CEO of the Leadership Center for Excellence, building and leading the organization to cultivate and empower generations of civic and nonprofit leaders.

Betsy is widely recognized for her collaborative leadership and commitment to strengthening communities. She is the recipient of numerous honors, including the Emily DiCicco Humanitarian Award and the 2023 Virginia Women in Leadership Award.

She serves as Chair-Elect on the Executive Committee of LEAD Virginia, as a Commissioner on the Economic Development Commission, and on the Board of Directors of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. She remains deeply committed to advancing innovative, community-driven solutions that create avenues to housing stability and long-term opportunity.

Betsy lives in Arlington with her husband, Scott, and lab, Hadley. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren that bring them great joy.
