Donate In-kind

  FOOD

PathForward accepts food donations that are store bought or homemade and are not expired, rotten, moldy, or significantly damaged. To donate food items, please review, adhere to, and provide a signed copy of our Food Donation Release Form before dropping off your generous donations. Please email us at volunteer@pfva.org for a copy of the release form. Food items that PathForward is most in need of include:

      • Homeless Bagged Meal Program
      • Proteins (meats, eggs, dairy, plant-based, etc.)
      • Healthy snack items (energy or protein bars, fruit snacks, crackers, etc.)
      • Water bottles
      • Electrolyte drinks
      • Ensure Nutrition Shakes

 

  NON-FOOD

PathForward accepts donations at our Homeless Services Center as well as several community donation bins around Arlington (locations listed below). PathForward accepts items that are fit for adult men and women only. If you’re interested in donating items that are fit for kids, please consider reaching out to our neighbor The Clothesline Arlington. Additionally, PathForward does not have the capacity to accept donated furniture, however, we are occasionally able to accept dependent on our client needs at the time. Please make an appointment to discuss before trying to drop furniture off.

      • New Depends, Incontinence Pads, and Adult Diapers
      • New Blankets, Sheets, Towels, and Linens
      • Reusable Shopping Bags

PathForward Does NOT Accept:

      • Books
      • Used clothing that is moldy, ripped, stained, or excessively worn
      • Used bedding, sheets, mattresses, towels, or linens
      • Used refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, or vacuums
      • Used socks, underwear, lingerie, swimwear, or other undergarments
      • Alcohol-related items (including wine glasses)
      • Used furniture, cutlery, kitchenware
      • Drug, alcohol, gambling, or otherwise crude or inappropriate paraphernalia

  

  DROP-OFF DIRECTIONS

After making a drop-off appointment with the Development Team, please put this address into your GPS: 2020A 14th St N, Arlington, VA  22201. This will take you to the front of our building. Turn the corner onto Troy St N and pull into our loading dock driveway, located directly in back of our building. Once there, you may either ring our ‘Homeless Services Center’ door intercom or call 703-228-7802 and a PathForward representative will be happy to receive you and provide a tax receipt for your generous donations.
